Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park has Festivals, Events and special Activities to suit all ages and fitness levels throughout the Year. From regular Farmers Markets through to Charity races, Real Ale Festivals, Highland Games, Music Festivals, Cycle Events, 10K Runs, and Classic Car outings you will find them all taking place here.

Barclays Scottish Open Golf Championship

The Scottish Open, which has been sponsored by Barclays Capital since 2002, is one of the richer golf tournaments on the European Tour, and is played at Loch Lomond Golf Club. The tournament takes place the week before The Open Championship. The 2011 Scottish Open will be held on 7 to 10 July 2011.

The Barclays Scottish Open has been played at Loch Lomond since 1996, just two years after the course was opened. In that short time the tournament and the venue have grown in stature, with major interest from the world's best golfers, to become a highlight of the European Tour.

The course nestles in 660 acres of the Clan Colquhoun Estate and is surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the mountains and loch.  As a spectator you’d be hard pressed to find a richer golfing experience or a more spectacular setting for the Barclays Scottish Open.
