Since our last edition there have been many exciting changes here at the hotel and many more to come! 2007 was a great year for us and we are looking forward to an even better 2008.
We are currently in the midst of a fabulous refurbishment programme during which we are open and trading as normal with as little disruption as possible, if any, to your visit. The main areas to be refurbished are the Hotel Reception, Lounge & Conservatory areas and the Clairinch Suite (main function room) as well as 10 of the bedrooms in original part of the hotel. We have mood boards on display at the hotel if you wish to pop in and have a look at the materials and colour schemes.
All of the above areas will see a huge change in look without denting the character of the hotel. We are pleased that the capacity of the function room will increase to up to 200 + for a meal and 250 + for a conference with all the mod cons that are expected in today’s meeting and function rooms.
Due to the refurbishment, we have already seen a rise in the number of weddings booked over the course of the next year or so which is fantastic – for further information on our weddings please see our special feature in this newsletter.
As you may know in the past year or so, The Buchanan Club has also seen many developments and improvements. Feel free to pop in for a showround with Morty or any of his team and take advantage of the offer that’s in this newsletter if you would like to join.
During the next few months there are many more changes to be made including our new lunch and dinner menus along with the introduction of our brand new “Buchanan Tapas Menu” – Scottish Style! Why not pop in one night, relax in the new refurbished lounge areas, have a glass of wine and sample the Buchanan Tapas for yourself!
Please take some time to have a look at the dates for your diary – over the course of the year we run events for both residents and non residents. One event I would like to highlight to you is our Hogmanay Gala Dinner. We have always had good reports on this event however we have changed it slightly to make it even better for this year. Why not book to come along and bring in New Year with us!
Finally I would like to say I have heard many comments regarding our refurbishment and please be rest assured that the “Buckie” will not lose any of its character, charm and friendly faces. I am sure that you will be as delighted with the changes as both myself and my team are, and we look forward to welcoming you all along to the new look Buchanan Arms.
