BEST WESTERN Buchanan Arms Hotel & Spa - your questions answered

Here is some useful information about the hotel which should help answer most frequently asked questions by guests.  We do hope you find it helpful.
 

Arrival and Departure 
Accommodation is normally available from 3pm on the day of arrival. If guests arrive prior to this, they are welcome to relax in the lounge or bar until their room becomes available. Departing guests are requested to vacate their rooms by 11am, however they are welcome to use the public areas and leisure facilities after this time.
 

Early Check-In / Late Check-Out
Guests are able to request earlier access to rooms, which can be guaranteed by paying a supplement of £10.00 for each hour prior to the standard check-in time. 12noon is the earliest possible time for entry to rooms. A late check-out can be offered for an additional £10.00 per hour beyond the standard check-out time. All requests are subject to availability.
 

Late Arrival 
Unless guests notify us of late arrival, we reserve the right to release any unsecured rooms after 6pm.
 

Children 
Children under 5 years of age are accommodated free of charge on a B&B basis.  Children aged 5 – 14 years are priced at £15.00pp B&B. All evening meals are paid for as taken. Rates are based on a family room with 2 adults. 
 

Ground Floor Access
There are 3 ground floor rooms and a number of easily accessible rooms. All public areas are on the ground level but there are several steps at entry. Assistance is available to the disabled.
 

Lifts
Please note that the hotel does not have lift access.
 

Car Parking
Free, onsite, lit car parking for up to 60 cars. Additional car parking at the rear and side of the hotel.
 

Dietary Requirements
Please advise the hotel of any specific dietary requirements when making your reservation.
 

Dogs
Please note that dogs (with the exception of guide/hearing dogs) are not permitted in the hotel.
 

Smoking
The hotel operates a complete no smoking policy within all bedrooms and public areas. Any guests found to be smoking within the premises will be subject to a £50.00 fine.
 

Payment 
All major credit cards are accepted. Personal cheques are accepted subject to approval. Cash or debit card payments are preferrable.
 

Special Occasions 
If you are celebrating a special birthday, anniversary or just want to treat someone during your stay.... we can make it memorable.... Champagne, chocolates, flowers, beauty treatments, a Scottish piper, a serenade!! Many rooms have queen and king sized beds available to upgrade to. Gourmet packed lunches are available, as well as Scottish, continental or champagne breakfast in bed by arrangement.
